Corfu Boat Trip & Blue Caves
Sea caves and limestone coast — see Corfu from the Ionian on a half-day cruise.
Boat trips reveal Corfu's limestone coast, hidden coves and luminous sea caves. Most depart from Paleokastritsa harbour after a coach transfer — standard trips last 45–90 minutes circling bays and entering caves when seas allow.
Morning departures catch calmer Ionian conditions. Your excursion aligns coach transfer, boat boarding and return to Neo Limani with a 60–90 minute pre-departure buffer.
Cave entries depend on sea state — operators may run coastal routes without interior passages on choppy days. Motion-sensitive passengers should check conditions the morning of your call.
Boat trips pair naturally with a brief Paleokastritsa viewpoint stop but not with a full Old Town day — choose water or culture as your anchor.

Getting there from the cruise port
Ships dock at Neo Limani (New Port), about 2 km west of Corfu Old Town. Allow 5–10 minutes by taxi to Spianada or 35–45 minutes each way for Paleokastritsa and Achilleion. Confirm your all-aboard time and keep a 60–90 minute buffer — summer traffic on the coastal road back to the port can slow returns from the northwest coast.
Tips for cruise passengers
- Bring a dry bag for phones and cameras
- Wear swimwear under clothes for quick dips
- Have a land-based backup if seas are rough

Corfu Boat Trip & Blue Caves — FAQs
Are boat trips safe on a port day?▼
Yes with reputable operators who track ship departure — confirm return time in writing.
Are these the same as Paxos caves?▼
No — Corfu's caves are near Paleokastritsa. Paxos is a separate full-day trip, too long for most port calls.
